Caribbean CherryDrop

Interesting new take on a Lemondrop Martini. Normal lemon drop but with Rum instead of vodka, and added some cherry juice! But personally Luxardo is much better than maraschino, especially if you are using the juice!! It has a rich, full., cherry flavor!

Taste: tart, cherry, lemon, sweet

Caribbean CherryDrop

  • 1.5 oz Bacardi Limon
  • .5 oz Triple Sec
  • .5 oz Simple Syrup
  • .5 oz Lemon Juice
  • .5 oz Luxardo Cherry juice


On trying to fignite out  this recipe I found and am going to try  a couple different paths.

  • A cream based one that seams kinda thick –
  • A hot one that uses apple cider
  • And a homemade one that is sweet but hella good.

All are tasty and gives a different taste and texture!  I’m a fan of homemade things so I think I gravitate to the #3



I forgot  one true in bartending world. Citric acid will make things curdle  and peach schnapps makes things curdle as well!  So recipe #1 -fail! 

  A highbred  of two and three was the charm.  I will keep everything up here, as I like to learn from mistakes and also because you will find recipes that will tell you to have cream based liquor and peach schnapps… they are wrong 


  1. .75 oz  homemade peach Brady
  2. .75 oz  homemade cinnamon liquor 
  3. Hot apple cider 
  4. A little rum to strengthen the cocktail!!  
  5. Cinnamon stick to stir

  1. 1 oz Rumchata
  2. 1 oz Peach Schnapps

Simple and easy.  Mix together over ice in a glass that is rimmed with gram cracker crumbs


  1. Fill a preheated mug with Warm Apple cider.
  2. Add in 1.5 oz peach schnapps or homemade Peach Brandy
  3. Top with whip cream and a little cinnamon.

Here is a way to make homemade PEACH BRANDY <–


  1. 1.5 oz Whiskey
  2. .5 cinnamon Liquor
  3. .5 oz peach brandy or peach syrup
  4. 1 oz cream
  5. Top with cinnamon.

Mix all together in a tin and shake for a little froth.  Pour into a glass that is rimmed with gram cracker crumbs

Dragon Fruit

It’s something that I’m not too familiar with.  I’ve never cooked with it.  Never really eaten it… but when people bring me in things to use in cocktails I will always try.  It’s a little weird. I was expecting for it to be overly sweet or have a tanginess that would drive my younger self crazy…  nope.  Kinda mild in flavor and has a pear like texture.  

Apparently the reason for dragon fruit’s allure is that is only lives for one night,  the plant blooms from evening to midnight and produces a PITYA fruit 6 times a year.  The yellow or pink flower is sometimes called a “moonflower” or “Queen of the night” the names for the fruit itself comes from the translation in other languages  – Dragon Scale – Dragon Crystal – Green Dragon – Fire Dragon Fruit – Dragon Pearl Fruit

Dragon fruit is high in vitamin C, calcium, phosphorus, fiber, and antioxidants. While the flesh of dragon fruit does not have any fat, the seeds and center contain some healthy monounsaturated fats and protein. Dragon fruits are also a good source of dietary fiber and it looks really cool, not gonna lie. 🙂
